Creating Opportunities, Strengthening Protection, Empowering Lives

At Inspire Pakistan, we design and implement integrated programmes focused on protection, mental health and psychosocial support, education, and community engagement. Each initiative is tailored to deliver sustainable, measurable impact while ensuring dignity, safety, and inclusion for the communities we serve.

Ongoing Projects

Community-Based Protection (CBP)

Inspire Pakistan implements community-based protection approaches that place communities at the centre of identifying and responding to protection risks. Through outreach volunteers, community sessions, and participatory platforms, the organisation strengthens local capacities, promotes awareness, and enhances access to essential services. These mechanisms enable communities to actively contribute to protection outcomes, social cohesion, and informed decision-making. Complementing this approach, Inspire Pakistan delivers targeted cash-based interventions and mental health and psychosocial support services to address urgent needs and promote resilience among vulnerable populations.

DAFI Scholarship Program

The DAFI Scholarship Programme supports eligible youth from vulnerable communities through access to tertiary education, complemented by academic, financial, and capacity-building support. The programme aims to strengthen self-reliance, leadership, and long-term development outcomes, enabling beneficiaries to contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Urban Cohesion Hub (UCH) - KHI

The Urban Cohesion Hub (UCH) in Karachi promotes social cohesion and community resilience through integrated, community-based interventions. The project focuses on strengthening inclusion, improving access to services, and fostering peaceful coexistence within urban communities. Through livelihood-related engagement, education linkages, and structured community activities, the initiative enhances access to opportunities and supports individuals in building sustainable coping capacities. Referrals to essential services are facilitated to ensure that community members are connected to appropriate support systems. The project adopts a participatory approach, encouraging active community involvement in identifying needs and shaping solutions. Particular emphasis is placed on youth engagement, recognising their role in promoting social cohesion and contributing to long-term community development. By combining community empowerment with practical support mechanisms, the Urban Cohesion Hub contributes to strengthening resilience, improving well-being, and fostering inclusive community environments.

Education Project, Mianwali

Under the Education Project in Mianwali, we are committed to improving access to quality education and enhancing the overall learning environment for students. Our efforts include the enrollment of students in Mianwali Refugee Village (RV) schools, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to receive formal education. We provide free textbooks to support students in their studies and to ease the financial burden on families. To ensure continuity in education, we have implemented the solarization of schools, providing reliable and sustainable energy solutions. We also focus on the renovation of school infrastructure, including the improvement of washrooms and provision of proper furnishing to create a safe and comfortable learning environment. The establishment of School Management Committees (SMCs) promotes community participation and strengthens school governance. In addition, we have introduced digital learning programs in all schools to modernize the education system and enhance students’ learning experiences. To maintain high teaching standards, we conduct regular teacher training sessions, equipping educators with effective teaching methodologies and updated skills.

Gender-Based Violence (GBV)

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) programming at Inspire Pakistan is focused on promoting dignity, equality, and human rights through integrated, protection-oriented approaches aligned with international standards. While not implemented historically as a standalone sector, GBV risk mitigation and response have been embedded across the organisation’s protection, community-based, and psychosocial interventions. The organisation’s work focuses on prevention, risk mitigation, and safe response by facilitating confidential referral pathways, delivering community-level awareness sessions, and strengthening the capacity of staff and community-based outreach personnel on GBV core principles and safe handling of sensitive cases. Through its field engagement, Inspire Pakistan has identified and supported individual cases involving women and children experiencing heightened vulnerabilities, including those residing in safe home and shelter environments. This has included handling of sensitive cases through safe and confidential processes, facilitation of referrals, and coordination with relevant service providers. Support provided has included linkages to psychosocial support, protection counselling, and facilitation of access to medical assessment and care where required, ensuring dignity, confidentiality, and appropriate case handling at all stages. Community-Based Protection Outreach (CBPO) mechanisms have further strengthened early identification of risks, safe referrals, and awareness at the community level. Special emphasis is placed on integrating GBV risk mitigation across sectors, particularly within education and community platforms, to ensure protective environments for vulnerable groups. Through these efforts, Inspire Pakistan contributes to improving access to multi-sectoral support services, promoting informed attitudes and behaviours at the community level, and strengthening institutional capacity to uphold safe, ethical, and responsible programming.

Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)

Inspire Pakistan integrates mental health and psychosocial support within its broader programming, recognising the importance of psychosocial well-being in overall protection and resilience. Building on its community engagement experience, the organisation provides basic psychosocial support through structured activities such as awareness sessions, supportive group engagement, and Psychological First Aid (PFA), along with referrals to specialised services where required. These interventions have included support to vulnerable individuals, particularly women and children, including those in high-risk situations and those residing in shelter or safe home environments, through coordination with service providers and community-based follow-up.

Advocacy

Inspire Pakistan has implemented a broad range of capacity development, awareness-raising, and advocacy activities through multiple humanitarian and advocacy platforms. These have included human rights advocacy; Human Rights Day, World Refugee Day, International Women’s Day, and 16 Days of Activism observances; persons with disabilities (PWD) inclusive sessions and advisory meetings; Somali community consultations; community elders’ engagement; women peer group facilitation; outreach volunteer (OV) management; OV group discussions and protection training; and the rollout of community-based complaint mechanisms (CBCM) for vulnerable communities.
